About Us

We’re Vangi and Kayla. We’re sisters who love to move together, cook delicious food together, and talk about health constantly. For years, we’ve been each other’s sounding board for all things food, fitness, and wellness, learning, testing, and refining what actually helps women feel strong and well. We each walked our own food and fitness journeys, building deep knowledge along the way and growing into distinct but complementary specialties. Vangi is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) with a focus on strength, movement, and building resilient bodies. Kayla is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) who takes a whole-food, food-first approach to nutrition and health. During COVID, we talked nearly every day (often mid-run) and kept coming back to the same frustration: women feel overwhelmed by conflicting advice and stuck trying to figure out food and fitness on their own. Starting with those conversations we’ve grown to clarify a shared desire to help women navigate the noise and focus on what actually supports strength, wellness, and long-term health. We’ve loved learning, eating and moving together for years, and now we’re excited to bring more women along with us. VKWellness exists so no one has to walk the health journey alone and so women can build strong, nourished bodies that support joyful, full lives.

About Vangi…

Hi! I’m Vangi Gibson! My relationship with movement and food started early. I grew up playing sports and was raised in a food-forward household, thanks to our sweet mama who somehow managed to make nourishing, whole-food meals for eight kids. Real food and staying active were a part of everyday life. When I went to college and no longer had sports to keep me moving, I turned to running. Nutrition became a bit tougher during those years, lots of ramen and Cook Out runs my freshman year. Alongside K, I started running consistently and slowly learning more about whole foods, Whole30, and what it really meant to support my body as a whole. After college, a friend introduced me to Pilates, and I fell in love. The intentional movement, strength, and mind-body connection instantly clicked. I went on to become a Pilates instructor, and it completely changed how I viewed exercise, shifting my focus from looking a certain way to care, strength, and sustainability. Now, I’m a Certified Personal Trainer and am deeply passionate about helping women feel strong in their bodies, support hormone balance through thoughtful movement, and simply feel good. I believe fitness should build you up, not break you down, and that movement and food are two of the most powerful tools we have to support overall health. At VKwellness Co, my goal is to help women reconnect with their bodies, build lasting strength, and create routines that feel supportive, joyful, and realistic for real life.

About Kayla…

HI! I’M KAYLA DILLON! I didn’t start out as a “health person.” As much as my angel of a mother tried to teach me differently, by the time I was in college, I was eating a pretty fully Standard American Diet and my movement patterns were sporadic at best, and I never imagined my body would force me to rethink everything.

At 24, I became seriously ill and was hospitalized. Within two years, I was diagnosed with two autoimmune diseases. It was scary, confusing, and exhausting, until a kind friend introduced me to the idea that food could actually support healing. That moment changed my life.

Through Whole30, years of a loose paleo approach, and intentional movement, alongside short-term medication for acute needs, I experienced long-term healing and years of remission without medication. My journey isn’t perfect or finished (bodies are complicated), but I now live with strength, confidence, and a deep understanding of what my body needs to thrive.

That personal journey led me to teach health and wellness at the college level and eventually become a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner through the Nutritional Therapy Association. Combined with my Master’s in Counseling, I now support women with both evidence-based nutrition and a deep respect for their lived experiences.

I believe food and movement are the foundation of sustainable, root-cause health, not fads, not aesthetics, and not fear. I’m so passionate about walking with women as they learn to feel strong, supported, and confident in their bodies again.
